(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is advising that the three outstanding suspects in relation to the personal robbery and sexual assault at Confederation Park on August 27th have been identified through public tips. 

They were arrested individually last week; and subsequently charged as follows: 

Ahmed KOROMA (m), 23 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Sexual Assault Party to the Offence 

Jasmyn JARRET (f), 18 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:

  • Robbery 

Stacey ISSIGAITOK (f), 18 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Assault
  • Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence 

All have appeared in court last week. 

The Ottawa Police wishes to thank the public and media for their assistance in identifying the outstanding suspects.

Two men charged in a Robbery and Sexual Assault in Confederation Park - three outstanding suspects

(Ottawa) — On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Frontline officers responded to a personal robbery and sexual assault in the area of Confederation Park at approximately 1:05am.

A man in his late 20’s was surrounded by a group of five people who used violence to take his backpack in a swarming attack and also sexually assaulted him. The victim did not know any of the suspects.

The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section (SACA) is currently investigating the matter and has charged two males with the following offences:

Abdulfatah MOALLEM, 24 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Robbery
  • Assault with weapon

Jonathan JAMPIES, 27 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with:

  • Sexual Assault as party to the offence
  • Robbery
  • Assault with weapon
  • Breach of Probation

Both males appeared at court last week and were remanded in custody.

SACA investigators are looking for the public’s assistance to identify three outstanding suspects.

They are described as follows: 

  • Indigenous female in her late teens early 20’s, with a small frame; she was wearing a red jacket and gray pants;
  • Indigenous female in her late teens to early 20’s – no further description;
  • Black male in his 20’s, tall and slim; he was dressed in black.
